Competition Site Information
This part of the website will give you an idea of what rooms are being used and the name(s) on the rooms.  This should help coaches find respective rooms and what they will be used for

 

 

 

 

Meet Venue - The meet venue (Kalahari Resorts & Convention Center) for actual competition is going to take place in rooms A,B,C,D,E,F,G & H - Total square footage of this area is 15,000 square feet.   

The main venue will have 3 platforms - A,B & C.  Platforms will be 12 X 12 feet.  The platforms will have pipe and drape running the length of them to separate lifters who are competing from the audience.  There will be a large flat screen TV on a cart that will be connected to the scoring program via an AV Video cable for coaches to see the lifting order. 

 

Warm Up Area - The warm up area will have 5-6 lifting stations and the room is 2,345 Square feet.  The name of the warm up room is Cypress.  It is very close in proximity to the main lifting venue and weigh in areas.  The warm up area will also have several tables and chairs.  Water will be provided in pitchers in the warm up area.  This room will be secured during the meet and only lifters competing in their respective sessions and coaches with credentials will be allowed in this area. 

 

Male & Female Weigh In Rooms -

Male weigh in's - Wisteria Room (directly across from the main lifting venue)

Female weigh in's - Portia Room (directly across from the main lifting venue)

 

USAPL Meet Official Rooms - Ebony & Empress Rooms (This will also be the location of the hospitality room for platform managers & judges.  Only these individuals will be allowed in this area. 

 

Meeting Room & Early Equipment Check In's - Tamarind & Guava Rooms (These rooms will be connected together to make one large 2,600 square foot room).  This will used for equipment check in for lifters and for meetings for coaches and USAPL meet officials.  Early Equipment Check for Thursday night (5-7:30 PM) will take place in the Wisteria & Portia rooms due to the other room being used for a coaches meeting.  

 

 *** THURSDAY NIGHT COACHES MEETING *** 

  

We will be running a USAPL Coaches meeting on Thursday evening (3-22-10) to discuss logistics of the meet and other relevant topics related to the meet and USAPL / High School Powerlifting.

Time - 7:45 PM

Location - The meeting will be located in the Tamarine & Guava Rooms (They will be connected together).  These rooms are adjacent to the meet venue and next to the weigh in rooms. 

NOTE - snacks & various beverages will be provided during the coaches meeting  

 

Please plan on coming if you are the head coach and assistants are welcome as well.
