Opening Ceremonies 2012 Nationals
This year we will be conducting an opening ceremonies / grand march for all the teams and competitors attending HS Nationals.  This will be AWESOME!!

Tentative Schedule for Saturday March 24th (This will be the day of the opening ceremonies)

7:00 - 8:30 AM - Weigh In's / Equipment Check

8:35 - 8:45 AM - Get teams organized and lined up properly

8:45 - 9:10 AM - Opening Ceremonies / Grand March / National Anthem & Color Guard / Taps 

 

NOTE - We will give lifters time to warm up and prepare for the meet to begin and adjust time accordingly

Start of lifting will be 20-25 minutes after opening ceremonies are completed and the warm up area will be re-opened after opening ceremonies are completed.  NO LIFTERS will be allowed in the warm up area during opening ceremonies and we will secure the area. 

 

 

Order of state / teams to enter Kalahari for opening ceremonies - Music will be played by the Wisconsin Dells Band as teams / coaching staffs enter the venue

Meet staff and all workers will enter the venue first and they will stand together at center of platform B and they will be followed by all platform managers and judges for the meet

1st -  Last Years 2011 HS National Team Champions (Boys) - Whitnall High School

2nd - Last Years 2011 HS Nationals Team Champion (GIRLS) - Calhoun High School

Note - ALL Wisconsin Teams will enter together (3rd) after Varsity Team Champions enter followed by the following order listed below -

3rd - Wisconsin Teams - boys and girls

4th - Glen Mills Powerlifting Team

5th - Ohio Teams - boys and girls

6th - Michigan Teams - boys and girls

7th - Idaho Teams - boys and girls

8th - Minnesota Teams - boys and girls

9th - Iowa Teams - boys and girls

 

Note-

Rest of the order will be determined at a later date and will be by states - more info coming soon (STAY TUNED)

 

Last to enter will be the color guard and they will post the colors and once posted the Dells HS Band will play the national anthem and then a moment of silence will take place and taps will also be played.  This will officially end the opening ceremonies and the warm up area will re-open for lifters and they will be given a set time limit to then finish warm ups before first call for flight 1 on all 3 platforms is given.
